Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is your turnaround time?

• We aim to stay within a 1 week period from order to render/print/cast.

What is a rush order?

• A rush order is anything required within 48 hours.

What sort of designs can you do?

• We can do anything from a round diamond solitaire to fully sculpted pieces.  If you have an idea and aren't sure if we can manage it, send us an email at hello@ateliervipond.com

What do your renders look like?

• To get design details accurately pictured, we use a black and white technical render style. We can also produce renders in a simulated pen drawing, as well as full colour on request.  Render samples are available here.

Printing

What resin do you print in?

• We use the ResinWorks3D varieties of casting resins.  We have found them to be the most consistent both in print and casting quality.

Do you offer discounts on volume?

• We do!  Contact us about pricing options for volume prints.

Casting

What metals do you cast in?

• We cast in all standard karats of gold (14k, 18k, 19k White) as well as sterling silver.  Unfortunately due to the nature of the metals, we do not currently cast in fine gold, fine silver, or platinum.

What is your casting success rate?

• Our casting success rate is tracked and is above 95%.  For small issues, we laser weld them to ensure that very few castings are total failures.

Do you cast with client metal?

• Due to the issues we have run into with casting client gold, as well as storage, we are not currently casting with clients metal.

Shipping

What shipping option do you recommend?

• We recommend Xpresspost for most orders.  If you need something quickly and you are located in the GVRD, our courier is a slightly more expensive but a guaranteed next day option.
